About Us
A Home for Music Lovers
Mile High Community Chorale (MHCC) is a Soprano/Alto/Tenor/Bass (SATB) performance choir, comprised of singers of all ages and ability types. We perform various types of music, including pop, rock, country, soul, and even a capella. Our repertoire is contantly evolving to add new material and make each performance unique and stand out.
What Makes Us Different?
Unlike a tradional choir or chorale, MHCC does not require its Members to audition before being selected to join. MHCC is open to anyone and everyone willing to join, regardless of factors such as age, ability level, etc.
It is expected that, even if you choose not to perform at concerts or events, you always put forth your best effort, and just enjoy yourself when learning a new song or two.
We won't judge you if you don't know how to read sheet music, or if you need more time than others to learn your part... we will get through it together, as a community that values and supports each other.
Our Mission
Our mission is to enlighten the lives of the community and areas we serve. Through the power of music, we promote strength in community and personal growth by providing a warm, welcoming, and comfortable environment for people to come together, share a laugh, and do something that they love. We build relationships with each other every time we meet, and our group shares a bond with each other that is like no other in the Denver-metro area.
Our Vision
At Mile High Community Chorale, or goal is to bring the power of music to everyone. Music has and always will be a powerful tool to share feelings lof love, harmony, and happiness, and at MHCC we strive to set a high standard for choral excellence and provide a space to be your best selves.
Musi offers an expressive, appealing, and emotional way for people to connect to one another--whether it's through a slow ballad or a lively dance tune.
By teaching our Members proper choral technique by engaging them through exercises that emphasize pitch, blend, tone, and breath, we are able to create awe-inspiring performances that leave our audiences pativated, moved, and wanting to come back again and again.
History
The Mile High Community Chorale was created in 2023 by local music lover Andrew Vega. Through his prior experience in professional and community choirs, Andrew created the organization as a way to give back to his community, and provide a space for music lovers like himself to connect and share their passions with one another.
MHCC was formed as a way for people to "have fun" in their spare time, while also learning choral arrangements of popular songs to perform at the end of their season, and through other events that MHCC participates in year-round. Through weekly rehearsals, Members come together to learn basic music theory, how to read sheet music, and/or voice and ear training to better their skills, in an environment that makes music fun and exciting to learn.
